What’s Uber like in terms of their business, the role, and the work culture?

Well, as a Senior Scientist on the Rider Experience team, you’ll be diving into data to measure and optimize Uber’s products. You’ll work on projects that influence the experience for millions of riders, like improving the app’s usability and developing new personalized features. It’s all about using data to drive growth in the mobility business!

You’ll need at least a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like Statistics or Machine Learning, and ideally, a Ph.D. or M.S. would be great too. Plus, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in data science, with some of that in industry. Experience with experimental design and proficiency in SQL and either Python or R are also key.

You’ll be involved in a variety of projects, like optimizing the rider conversion funnel and running large-scale experiments to enhance user experience. You’ll also develop AI systems to track metric trends, which sounds pretty cool, right? It’s all about tackling unique challenges and making a real impact!

Collaboration is super important! You’ll be working closely with other scientists, product managers, and business teams to understand challenges and develop solutions together. For this role, the base salary ranges from $183,000 to $203,000 per year, regardless of whether you’re in New York, San Francisco, or Seattle. Plus, there are other benefits you can participate in, which is a nice perk!
