Advance Auto Parts Store Driver: Job Overview, Location, and Employment Details

Well, as a Store Driver, you’ll be picking, staging, and safely delivering parts to pro customers, picking up returns, and dropping off sales flyers. You’ll also collect credit accounts daily, build relationships with customers, and help with upselling products. Plus, you’ll maintain store cleanliness and assist with stocking and inventory.

Actually, you’ll need safe driving and navigation skills, friendly communication, and the ability to locate and stock parts. It’s also important to have sales aptitude, customer service orientation, and the ability to identify customer needs.

You’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent, and while automotive parts experience is preferred, it’s not mandatory. Also, having a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is necessary.

You’ll need to be able to talk and hear, use your hands and fingers, and lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with help. You’ll mostly be walking or standing, and sometimes you’ll be outside in various weather conditions.

The pay range for this role is between $15.95 and $16.95 per hour for a new team member, and the exact rate depends on factors like your experience, education, and skills.
