New graduate RNs at Columbus Regional Health will primarily work in several areas, including Critical Care, Emergency Services, Med Surg/Neuro Spine, and Nursing Resources. These positions involve caring for patients in various scenarios, such as intensive care and recovery from surgery.

Columbus Regional Health offers a 1-year Nurse Residency program to aid in the transition from academic studies to the work environment. Additionally, new nurses will have Nurse preceptors to help them integrate into their specific roles.

The starting hourly base rate for a new Registered Nurse in this position is $33.34. Experienced Registered Nurses can expect to earn in the top 25% of nurses in the region, with compensation being competitive based on experience and performance.

The nursing positions offer 12-hour shifts, with options for either day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Full-time positions require 36 hours per week, while part-time options are available for 24 hours per week.

Inpatient nursing units have a holiday and weekend requirement, typically requiring nurses to work every third weekend. This is part of the commitment expected from nurses in this role.
