What educational qualifications are required for this position?
An Associate Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma is required for this position, although a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Additionally, you must be a Registered Nurse upon hire.
What certifications must be obtained for this role?
You must have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification prior to providing independent patient care, and it must be maintained quarterly. Other required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI), all of which must be completed within 90 days of hire.
What experience is required for this position?
You need at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse or the completion of an RN residency program. Additionally, one year of RN experience specifically in Labor and Delivery is strongly preferred.
