UHS Registered Nurse – FT NIGHT SHIFT (KIDS OR SUD UNIT) Behavioral Health: Job Overview, Location, and Employment Details

The job title for this position is Registered Nurse for the full-time night shift in the Kids or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Unit. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to children and adolescents dealing with mental health and chemical dependency issues.

This position is located at Millwood Hospital in Arlington, Texas. The hospital is conveniently situated in the heart of the city, just five minutes away from AT&T Stadium, which is home to the Dallas Cowboys.

The typical work hours for this position involve 12-hour shifts, which can be either from 7 PM to 7 AM or from 7 AM to 7 PM. This schedule is designed to accommodate the needs of the Kids or SUD Unit.

The primary responsibilities of the Staff Nurse include prescribing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with health team members. This is done in accordance with the nursing process and established standards of care and practices.

To qualify for this position, candidates must be graduates from an accredited program of professional nursing, with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility and must be currently licensed as a registered nurse.

New hires must attend a full hospital and departmental orientation during their first two weeks. The orientation schedule includes the first week from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and the second week on Monday and Tuesday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
