To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse and have two years of professional nursing experience. This experience must include at least one year working in a facility or institution with individuals who have mental illness, developmental disabilities, or intellectual disabilities.

Necessary skills for a Psychiatric Nurse 2 include the ability to identify patient healthcare needs through physical and behavioral assessments.
