Candidates must know and apply all federal, state, and local laws related to the service of alcoholic beverages, as well as the hotel’s policies regarding liquor liability. They should also be able to interpret banquet contracts and plan the bar setup accordingly.

Additional duties include gathering supplies and equipment for the bar, performing side work, taking beverage orders from service staff or directly from customers, and ensuring the bar is set up and maintained according to hotel standards.
