The main goal of the Lounge Bartender position is to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by attending to the beverage needs of the guests in an efficient and courteous way. This role involves preparing and serving drinks while maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.

The responsibilities for setting up the bar include unlocking liquor, preparing glassware, and getting juices and garnishes ready. These tasks are performed before service begins to ensure the bar is fully prepared for guest orders.

Drink orders should be accepted in the proper calling order to keep the service at the bar at an optimal level for guests. This method helps maintain efficiency and ensures that all guests are served in a timely manner.

When making and serving drinks, the bartender must follow all procedures and policies regarding beverage controls as prescribed by standards. This includes making drinks in accordance with beverage standards using the Berg system and a standard jigger, with no free pouring allowed.

The bartender is fully responsible and accountable for an issued bank and must follow proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash collecting. They must also ensure all drinks are rung up properly and conform to cash handling procedures at all times.

Closing the bar involves breaking down the bar, locking up liquor, and storing fruit and juices properly. The bartender must also pick up their bank and guest checks for the prescribed area and ensure the bar is neat and clean.

The bartender is expected to keep all bar areas neat and clean and to observe the Clean-As-You-Go policy. Additionally, they must work safely at all times and follow all safety procedures.

The bartender should be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, including all changes, new procedures, and events. They must also have knowledge of all emergency procedures and know how to act on them to ensure safety.

The bartender must report to work on time, wear a proper and clean uniform including a name tag, and be flexible with their work schedule. They should also attend department meetings and handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, and internal rules.
