The main responsibility of the bartender is to serve all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, to guests. They are expected to provide excellent guest service and interact professionally with customers and co-workers.

The position requires the bartender to be personable and professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Good attendance and availability to work scheduled events are also important.

The hourly pay rate for this role is $5.50, and the position is tip eligible, meaning bartenders can earn additional income from tips.

Part-time employees in this role are offered a 401(k) Savings Plan along with 401(k) matching contributions, which help with retirement savings.

The bartender must follow all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including adhering to state and federal regulations related to alcohol distribution. They are also responsible for verifying guests’ IDs to ensure minimum age requirements are met.

The bartender is expected to de-escalate situations involving intoxicated guests and, if a guest becomes confrontational or uses extreme profanity, they should contact management or security for assistance.

The bartender must keep their work station clean and sanitary at all times, ensure that bar equipment is well maintained and clean, and restock or request additional products as needed.

The bartender is responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirits available at the bar. They should also be able to suggest and upsell products to guests based on their preferences.

Additional duties may include setting up and breaking down the bar area, following bar pre-shift notes and menus, and responding to customer requests or concerns during their shift.
