The bartender must follow all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including complying with state and federal regulations related to alcohol distribution. They need to verify guests’ IDs to ensure legal drinking age and communicate cut-off times when necessary.

The bartender is responsible for de-escalating situations involving intoxicated guests and should contact management or security if a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity. They are trained to manage such situations professionally and safely.

The bartender is responsible for requesting additional products or restocking items as needed to ensure the bar is well-stocked. They must also handle cash transactions accurately and manage their issued bank responsibly.

The bartender must maintain a clean and sanitary work station at all times to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. This includes keeping the area organized and properly sanitized throughout their shift.

The bartender should have knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirits available at the bar. They should also be able to suggest products to guests and learn more about the beverages to upsell effectively.
