The bartender must take and enter orders into the POS system promptly and accurately. They are also responsible for ensuring that all food and drinks are served promptly and according to the specified standards.

The bartender is required to accurately check guest identification to verify that the guest is 21 years of age or older before serving alcohol. This is a necessary step to comply with liquor laws.

The bartender must comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as all state and federal liquor laws. They are also responsible for maintaining the company’s safety and sanitation standards throughout their shift.

The bartender prepares guest checks through POS terminal functions and processes guest payments using various tender types such as cash, credit cards, or venue comps. They also collect required signatures from guests and promptly close guest checks.

During their shift, the bartender may need to move furniture like tables, chairs, bar stools, and equipment as directed by management. They also ensure that stock is replenished and organize and prioritize their service tasks.

The bartender responds to guest concerns or complaints with a positive attitude, attempts to correct errors or resolve issues, and escalates the matter to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
