Candidates should be able to think clearly and communicate effectively under pressure, have strong multitasking and prioritization skills, and be team-oriented with the ability to support fellow staff members. Knowledge of food menus, ingredients, and preparation techniques is also essential.

The role requires a deep knowledge of the restaurant’s food menu, ingredients, and preparation techniques, as well as comprehensive knowledge of all house cocktails including ingredients and techniques. Additionally, growing knowledge of wines by the bottle and full knowledge of wines by the glass are important.

This is an hourly, tipped position that requires the bartender to work scheduled service shifts, with consistent evening and weekend availability. Some shifts may include closing duties as part of the weekly schedule.

The bartender is responsible for stocking and maintaining bar supplies and garnishes throughout the shift, washing and polishing glassware as needed, and participating in weekly cleaning duties to keep the bar area tidy.

The bartender is expected to greet guests within one minute of their arrival, check in with guests to ensure satisfaction during their visit, and sincerely thank and bid farewell to each guest as they leave. Clear communication about dietary restrictions and allergies is also part of ensuring guest satisfaction.

In addition to serving drinks, the bartender may fulfill lounge server responsibilities when scheduled, assist in maintaining the front door and closing procedures, and support overall team efforts to ensure smooth operations.
