CNAs are responsible for using wristbands or photo ID cards to identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals, and they must report any changes in a resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse promptly.

CNAs are tasked with inventorying and marking residents’ personal possessions as instructed, storing their clothing properly, and assisting with packing possessions when residents are transferred to new rooms.

CNAs should greet residents, escort them to their rooms, introduce them to roommates and staff as appropriate, and ensure that the resident’s room is ready for their arrival, including making the bed and preparing necessary items.
