Well, as an Avionics Engineer, you’d be responsible for the entire manufacturing process of avionics hardware. This includes everything from producing printed circuit board assemblies to environmental testing. You’d also work closely with different teams to ensure that manufacturing and testing meet their goals, and you’ll be the go-to person for engineering decisions related to flight hardware.

To get started, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and at least a year of experience in design, manufacturing, or production of mechanical or electrical hardware systems. Even if you’ve done internships or worked on engineering projects in college, that counts!
