Well, a Launch Pad Technician is responsible for maintaining the Starship Tower and its mechanical and fluid systems. This includes working with hydraulics, high-pressure gases, and cryogenic systems to ensure everything’s ready for launch operations. They also troubleshoot any issues that pop up and work closely with a team to make sure everything meets the highest quality standards.

You’ll need at least a high school diploma or an equivalent certificate, plus a year of hands-on experience in assembly, maintenance, or installation. If you have a certificate from a trade skills program, that counts too!

Absolutely! Having an associate degree in aerospace technology or similar can give you an edge. Experience at a rocket launch facility or with complex fluid systems is also a big plus. Plus, if you’ve got military aviation experience, that’s definitely something they look for!
