I’m Ms. Smith, currently looking for a job. I’d like to ask Dr. Job about the Nursing Assistant position at Masonicare.
What kind of work will I be doing as a Nursing Assistant at Masonicare?
Well, as a Nursing Assistant, you’ll be providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This includes helping with meals, transferring patients, assisting with bathing, toileting, and grooming. It’s all about supporting the residents in their daily activities!
What’s the work schedule like for this position?
So, this job is for the evening shift, and you’ll be working about 32 hours a week. Plus, you’ll have every other weekend off, which is nice for some work-life balance!
Is there a specific area of care I’ll be focusing on?
Actually, yes! This position is located in a Behavioral Health/Acute Psych Unit, so you’ll be working with patients who need specialized care in that area. It’s a state-of-the-art facility, which is pretty cool!
What qualifications do I need to apply for this job?
To apply, you’ll need to have a current Connecticut certification as a nurse’s aide (C.N.A.) and also a CPR certification. Those are the minimum requirements to get started!
How many patients will I be working with at a time?
You’ll be working in a 50-bed unit, so you can expect to assist multiple patients throughout your shift. It can be busy, but it’s also really rewarding to make a difference in their lives!
Thank you, Dr. Job. I will review the details.
