You’ll need to be skilled in all phases of electrical repair and maintenance, able to troubleshoot problems, and proficient in preventative maintenance. Plus, you should be competent in reading blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals.

Yes, you should be able to perform duties on ladders and lifts, both indoors and outdoors, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. You’ll also need to work with and around high voltage up to 13.2 KVA.

You need a high school diploma or GED, along with three years of experience working under a licensed electrician, or two years of experience after completing a trade school.

This is a full-time position that involves working evenings and rotating weekends, and it may require overtime during emergencies.
