Well, as the Nurse Manager for Cardiovascular Services, you’ll provide leadership and operational oversight for a wide range of cardiovascular services, making sure that high-quality, patient-centered care is delivered.

Actually, you’ll be managing the daily operations of the assigned cardiovascular units or services, which includes staffing, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and process improvement initiatives.

To be successful, you’ll need strong clinical knowledge in cardiovascular care, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a good understanding of cardiovascular service line operations. Plus, having experience in a healthcare leadership role, especially in a cardiovascular setting, is important.

You’ll coordinate and evaluate the daily operations of the department, which includes monitoring staffing, budget, and clinical outcomes. You’ll also participate in recruiting and retaining department employees.

You’ll need a minimum of three years of experience in a related field and at least two years of supervisory experience. Plus, being a Registered Nurse in California and having Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is necessary upon hire.
