The nurse is required to assess the patient’s physiologic health status, which includes evaluating gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health. Additionally, the nurse will determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition, and will assess the patient’s level of pain and pain management.
