DAVITA Hospital Dialysis Registered Nurse – NIGHTS: Job Overview, Location, and Employment Details

Dialysis experience is not required for this role, which means that new graduates or those transitioning from other nursing specialties are encouraged to apply. Additionally, training may take place in a facility or a training facility other than your assigned home facility.

You must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the hospital. This includes the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

In this role, you will deliver care to patients who often have multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans. This means you will need to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge to meet the diverse needs of your patients.

You will oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to conduct patient observations and measure vital statistics. Additionally, you will be responsible for machine setup for dialysis treatments.

You will specialize in multiple renal therapies, including Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and Apheresis. This specialization allows you to provide comprehensive nephrology care to patients in a hospital setting.

You will work daily in a fast-paced hospital environment, delivering dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcare system. This setting requires you to engage both mentally and physically in your nursing duties.
