The job title for this position is Settlement Accountant. This role is focused on managing processes that ensure the accuracy of Musket settlements.

This position is located in Houston, Texas. It is a full-time role with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores.

The major responsibilities of the Settlement Accountant include validating and settling accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices for various products daily. Additionally, the accountant will train on all Settlement Accountant desks to provide backup as needed and process invoices for freight and bio on a daily basis.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. While a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance. This experience is essential for effectively managing the responsibilities of the Settlement Accountant.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft Excel is necessary for this role. Additionally, the ability to learn new software, experience with SolArc RightAngle and SAP, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also important.

The physical demands of this job include prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The role also requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator, as well as a normal range of hearing and vision.

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Settlement Accountant may be assigned other duties as needed. This flexibility is important for adapting to the dynamic needs of the business.
