In the assisted self-checkout process, the Head Cashier must monitor multiple self-checkout registers and proactively engage with customers. This includes greeting customers, recommending products, and ensuring accurate completion of transactions.

The Head Cashier provides supervision and coaching to the Customer Service Associate (CSA) Front End Team. This includes training associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities, as well as providing feedback on their performance.

The Head Cashier uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines. They are also responsible for providing proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates during register activities.

In addition to processing transactions, the Head Cashier is responsible for removing security tags, verifying product information, and bagging merchandise for customers. They may also need to open additional registers when necessary to assist with customer flow.

The Head Cashier is expected to demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers and invite them back to shop at Lowe’s. They should also communicate information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty details related to Lowe’s programs.
