Jack in the Box Team Leader – Full-time / Part-time: Job Overview, Location, and Employment Details

The main responsibility of the Team Leader is to serve as the first-line operational supervisor who trains and leads team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This includes ensuring that the food is of great taste and quality, executing guest expectations, and maintaining compliance with company procedures, systems, and standards.

The Team Leader ensures guest expectations are met by training and coaching team members using specific training materials, modeling positive behaviors such as being calm during busy times, and encouraging team members to follow the hospitality standards. They also focus on solving problems by listening, apologizing, and making things right when issues occur.

The Team Leader holds team members accountable for adhering to the uniform and grooming standards set by Jack in the Box. They coach team members when their appearance is non-compliant and model a neat and professional look, including wearing a tucked-in shirt, containing hair with a hat or hairnet, and keeping the uniform clean and unwrinkled.

The Team Leader promotes a friendly environment by modeling behaviors such as acknowledging each guest with a smile and treating everyone with care and respect. They also coach team members to maintain a positive and friendly attitude and to follow the JIB Hospitality Model.

The Team Leader models how to maintain cleanliness both inside and outside the restaurant and monitors the facilities to ensure cleanliness is maintained regularly. They also help with tasks such as order taking and cashiering during busy times to support overall restaurant operations.

The Team Leader is expected to be organized and to actively lead and coach the team to be prepared to serve guests efficiently. They also encourage team members to ask for help when needed to meet guest needs and ensure the restaurant is well-staffed.

The Team Leader monitors the quality of the food to ensure it tastes great and meets the standards set by Jack in the Box. They are responsible for maintaining high food quality consistently across all shifts.

The Team Leader follows the Jack in the Box restaurant policies and rules concerning scheduled working hours, breaks, and timekeeping. They ensure that these policies are adhered to by themselves and their team members.
