The bartender will receive beverage orders from patrons and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and soft drinks. They will also handle light-fare food orders, ensure garnishes are prepared, and keep the bar clean and organized.

The bartender is responsible for checking photo IDs to verify that customers are of legal drinking age and must use proper judgment to refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive. This helps maintain a safe and responsible environment.

Preferred skills include basic knowledge of drink preparation and service, excellent interpersonal skills focused on customer service, the ability to stay calm with unruly patrons, and the ability to learn the POS register software used at the bar.

Applicants are preferred to have completed mixology, barkeeping, or related training such as MAST Permit Training, and having at least one year of related experience is also preferred for this role.

The position requires the ability to remain standing in a stationary position during the shift and to access and navigate the hotel facility comfortably. Physical stamina is important for performing the duties effectively.

The bartender is responsible for submitting requisition forms for liquor, beer, wine, bar menu food, and other supplies to the supervisor, ensuring the bar is well-stocked and operational.
