Day shifts are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and evening shifts are from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, providing coverage for both daytime and evening hours.

The main duties include assisting with patient care tasks such as personal hygiene, taking vital signs, helping with daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding patients. Additionally, the role involves administrative responsibilities like answering phones, processing admissions and discharges, transcribing orders, and maintaining patient charts.

Maintaining the unit involves setting up and maintaining patient rooms, ordering and stocking supplies, and managing the unit desk area, which includes answering phones, processing forms, and assembling patient charts.

Candidates must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers. If they are participants in the OnTrack program, they need to acquire this certification upon completing the program.

Applicants need to have successfully completed Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview-sponsored Nursing Assistant program. Alternatively, they can qualify with six months of recent direct care experience in settings such as long-term care, home care, or acute care, including roles like Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician.
